Chesapeake Research Consortium (CRC) is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] association of seven research and education institutions around the Chesapeake Bay region. Each of our members has a long history of research within the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed, using that science to inform management, and training the work force for science-based management.

Our member institutions are:
Johns Hopkins University, Old Dominion University, Pennsylvania State University, Smithsonian Institution, University System of Maryland, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and Virginia Tech.
