Education Initiatives

The Chesapeake Research Consortium is uniquely positioned at the intersection of the Chesapeake Academic, Research, and Environmental Management Communities to assist interested undergraduate and graduate level students information about and access to career enhancing educational opportunities.

For students interested in discovering what the research interests and expertise of members of the CRC community, please be sure to visit the Chesapeake Bay Expertise Database (CBED). Also, a regular feature of the Chesapeake Quarterly Newsletter is Opportunities for Young Scientists: Training, Education, and Research (OYSTER) in which we highlight educational and internship opportunities for students.  For a summary list of these opportunities, please click here.

In addition, many of our on-going initiatives in education can be found elsewhere on this website, under the “Research and Education” tab.   See especially the information about our Chesapeake-Student Recruitment, Early Advising, and Mentoring (C-StREAM) program under  Education, Training, & Research Initiatives.

Finally, each of our member institutions of course has its own extensive programs of education and research that can be accessed independently.
